Etched soft enamel uses the same technology which produces printed circuit boards. The etched option allows the most detail of any of our color filled processes. A negative of the pin design is placed over a photo sensitive brass plate, exposed to light, then etched with acid. The recessed areas are filled with soft enamel. The pins are die cut into individual pieces after the hand enamelling is completed. Optional epoxy adds depth and protects the enamel. PMS color matching is available in this process.
